7/23/15 Amsterdam to Schenectady, NY

7/23/15 Amsterdam to Schenectady, NY
Jim & Erick doing some early morning fishing from the dinghy.

Returning with the catch

A small mouth bass & a small pike
Both were good eating for dinner!

"Are you going to cut off his face????"
Our morning friend

We had a little time today so Carol & Jen fixed eggs benedict. Yum!

Hendrix checking his compass while driving.
Don't want to get lost, you know!

The train was crossing just as we went under the bridge

Just about all of the locks have this kind of
water level control system

Dirty, slimy lock ropes make for a mess

and messy hands

Knee boarders hitting a ski ramp

...successfully

Protection around our anchors to keep people
from getting hurt when they ducked under us!
We tied up Samba at the Schenectady Yacht Club around 3:00 and then had to move to a small finger slip when they heard a 74' motor vessel needed our space on the fuel dock. "Yacht Club" is a bit of an exaggeration as it was small with very small docks. We were afraid that Samba would pull their docks apart because of the wind and current.

Also, due to the tiny slip, we had to pull waay forward. Still, only part of the boat fit. Argghhh.
Our slip in the Schnectady "Yacht" Club

Though the marina was small, they had a nice pool

Notice who's sleeping as Jim jumps in?

Oh no! Erick got a little wet. LOL
There are lots of scullers & crew boats practicing right behind our slip

The kids had an early dinner & then went to bed

We were all exhausted today
