11/04,05/15 Amelia Island

Most of today was foggy & damp. Nearly 100% humidity.
Wednesday, 11/04/15 - Amelia Island (Fernandina Beach)
As we left Jekyll Island for Amelia Island, the weather was surprisingly foggy and cool for this time of the year and in this area. Fortunately, the timing with the tides was good so we charged ahead.

We had lots of dolphin encounters today. However, these guys were larger than most we had previously seen. There were more of them and they stayed around our boat for longer periods of time, playing and looking at us.

Can you count the 6 dolphins under the bow?

A submarine degaussing area!

The streets in old Fernandina are still sand and crushed shells

Ladies Street is where the bordellos used to be located

Thursday, 11/05/15

Today, we spent most of the morning with boat projects and catching up on bills & other paperwork. We had lunch at a fun, local hangout and did some shopping in the afternoon. The evening found us at a wonderful Spanish tapas restaurant with a lovely garden. A perfect evening for dinner outside!
