| Carol in her happy place! |
Well, here we are - - our last day of a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Woo hoo.
We think the word must have gotten out because this was truly an amazing day to watch dolphins. They were putting on all kinds of shows for us. Jumping, twisting & watching us. Though we've done a fair amount of boating, we've never seen the likes of today! We took a few videos to try to help you see what we saw. Be sure you use your computer and be sure your quick time is up to date. You will be amazed.

Mr. Splash
We think this guy was trying to get us wet. He sure had fun.
Mr. Wiggles
This guy was all over the place
Watching you watch me
So many times, the dolphins like to watch us watching them. However, it is quite difficult to get a picture that tells the tale. This short video will give you a sense of what it's like when they check you out.
Mom & Baby
It's always fun watching the mothers teach the babies how to play on the waves. In this video, the dad decides to raise the bar.
Large Pod
This was the largest pod to spend time with us. How many total can you count?
Twister
This was funny. Watch what happens to the show off who about knocks himself out during his final jump!
| Some of the barrier islands on the way into the Fort Pierce marina |
We chose Fort Pierce for Samba's home in part because they just built all new docks and created some large barrier islands to help shield the marina in the event of a hurricane. They were mostly destroyed a few years ago so the new marina is very well planned and built.

We made it!!!!!
Our journey is finished and what a journey it was!
- 2,739 miles
- 10 US states, the District of Columbia and Canada
- 62 locks
- Hundreds of rivers and bodies of water
- A dance with Lady Liberty, a heaping dose of US history and an amazing view of this incredible country.
- 10 guest families - 7 spent a week each with us
We have been so incredibly blessed. Thank you for your interest in this journey of a lifetime. We'll let you know as future plans unfold.
Until then, may you, too, have fair winds and following seas.
All our love,
Jim & Carol Pattison on Samba (A dance of love that travels around the outside of the dance floor)
