Here are a few highlight pictures from some of our adventures in the Bahamas in 2018.
Easter week, our whole family stayed at Stella Maris on Long Island. What an amazing time it was!
Mr. Bones guarded the Pirate's Cave where we held our Easter Egg hunt.
We had a couple of very nice dives in this beautiful, gin-clear water.
We kayaked to the Columbus Monument, the first landfall for Columbus in the Caribbean.
This is the deepest "blue hole" in the world. The raft is anchored so world class free divers can test their skills.
We also had a private tour of the largest cave in the Bahamas!
Dan & Julie Kuhn, friends from Warsaw, joined us for a week as we moved Samba from Grand Bahama through the Exumas to Nassau.
This was one of our lovely, deserted anchorages. It had some great hiking and a dinghy cave to explore.
Farmer's Cay was a fun place to explore. Their resident wood carver gave us a tour of his home gardens & carving shack. His creations are famous in Nassau.
One of the islands we visited was only inhabited by these giant iguanas! Ugly but beautiful.
This underwater sculpture, commissioned by David Copperfield, sits in 25' of water! Jim is playing a tune for the lovely mermaid.
Thunderball Grotto is where the James Bond film was shot. The ceiling is spectacular! We had to swim underwater to get into the grotto.
Our little tripod comes in handy when we're exploring remote beaches!
