Both of our kids' families met us at Cape Eleuthera on 12/28/19 to usher in the new year. There were a total of 12 of us! Woo hoo!
Here is our short, "Welcome to the Cape" video to get you started.
Though we were here at peak season, there were very few other people around so we had miles of beach all to ourselves. So beautiful!
Except for the occasional crabs, it was mostly just us!!!!
There were lots of interesting finds along the beach - like this little spiny sea urchin.
Even the guys walked the beaches.
There were lots of fishermen who took their catch to the cleaning station. The minute fish parts started hitting the water, the sharks showed up. First the 10' reef sharks, then the 12' bull sharks. Then the big nurse sharks moved in. They are at the top of the shark pecking order & the others gave way!
The kids found a couple of coconuts so Jim went to work with his machete'.
Fortunately, he mostly missed his fingers. LOL.
Some loved the coconut milk and . . .
. . . some, not so much.
While Jim & Carol stayed on Samba, the rest of the family were in 2 lovely villas that were just across the water from Samba. The villas were on sunrise beach while Samba was on sunset beach. That worked out well for our evening meals on Samba. We'll tell you about that in our next blog entry.
