Our 37 mile trip from Marsh Harbour to Spanish Cay was delightful. The temperature was up, the wind was down and the seas were flat - - we like flat!
Again, we transited the Whale Cut but this time, it was quite calm. Yeahhh. Once around the Whale, we had a couple of dolphins playing around the bow. After they left, a trio came and said hello. It almost looked like a daddy, a mommy and the baby the way they were staying together. They are so beautiful & fun to watch.
As we entered the marina at Spanish Cay, we almost felt like we were entering the Twilight Zone, the marina was so deserted.
They were doing quite a bit of work on the main dock and had a number of cute little hideaways you could go to relax and enjoy the view of the ocean. Now you know why they had a no diving sign at the pool!!!Did you ever see a gas station in the middle of the yard????From the looks of the tennis court, there was a time this was a destination island. Not so much anymore. Sad.
The old beach bar isn't so very happy. Bummer.
Later today and tonight, we expect 1/4" rain and tomorrow is promising 1/2" or more so we think we'll stay put and shelter in for the near future.
