| Samba's slip in the empty downtown Norfolk marina |
Monday, 9/21/15 - Norfolk with Proctors
After Carol's nephew, Jacob Proctor, dropped his wife off at class, he stopped by Samba to take us sight seeing in Norfolk. Since he just got off work from his 12 hour night shift at the Navy base, Carol fixed him a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs with all the fixin's and some coffee to keep him going.

| Right after Jake arrived, this large warship went by Samba |
Jake works at the Navy hospital, right across the river from Samba's slip. It is the oldest Naval hospital in the country. |
| The front of the original hospital |
We picked Jake's wife, Shye, up after her class & headed to the Naval hospital for a personal tour |
| The hospital is a very large complex that seems to go forever |
| Jake showed us many areas that the public sees and . . . |
| ... some places NO ONE ever sees! |
| "Are you sure you should go up there?" |
| The Nauticus was closed - bummer. |
| This fun little cafe wasn't, though. |
Jake got a few hours of sleep & returned with Shye for a shish kabob dinner on Samba |
| ...and Mexican Train. LOL |
