Today's forecast was originally pretty wet & windy. However, we awoke to a much gentler one with St. Augustine on the southern edge of a large weather system. We headed south for Daytona Beach to get below the weather and it was a good decision.
A squadron of beautiful pink roseate spoonbills
Much of the intracoastal today was through state marshland preserves
This sailboat isn't having a very good day!
These bridge columns near Daytona were beautiful
Nearly at our marina
The Halifax Harbor Marina had over 550 slips - quite large!
After tying up, we rode the 5 blocks into downtown Daytona to see what was there. Though the downtown area was clean & quiet with some small shops, it was apparent that the action was across the bridge at the beach. Due to the distance, we decided to pass on that visit and head back to Samba.
